2 options:
have skaters start on opposite sides of the gym, at the whistle they skate towards each other and stop together in a braced formation (might be in the middle, or further if one skater is faster than the other)
skaters start in the same spot and stop at the designated lines together as a flat wall
skaters will stop fast and narrow together. avoiding a slop stop into each other, they can usetheir braced arms to stop each others (skaters must be low so they don't push over)
skaters will stay close together, stopping as a unit. leaning into each other and keeping their feet from getting tripped up
