Objective
Altering body position to hold space & trap a jammer. Having good lateral footwork is great, but sometimes it's not necessary.
Activity
Teapot:
When the jammer is in the middle of the wall, or the seam, there is no need to move or do anything other than be strong and keep them there. It's when the blocker feels the jammers pressure move from the middle to the edge that some movement needs to happen.
The least amount of movement is to change the blocker body positioning, rather than to move the entire wall. Switch the supporting arm on the brace to the middle arm and 'teapot' with the arm closest to the jammer. Both upper arm and thigh facing the direction the jammer is going and/or where the jammers pressure is.
Keep jammer held there, if jammer moves back to the middle or the other side simply change the brace arm back and reseal the seam. The brace needs to be strong, giving all the strength and support but not grabbing or holding the back blockers as they need to be free to move arms as soon as they need to.
Observe teapot action in the last 2 seconds of the video clip.
